We are working hard to maintain a high standard of street scene and refuse / recycling collection services within Tonbridge and Malling. You will be a key member of the Waste & Street Scene Team, with an emphasis on inspecting and monitoring the work of the Council’s waste collection and street cleansing contractor under the guidance of the senior team members.  The role will also play a part in the enforcement work carried out by the team in respect of littering and fly-tipping offences.

You will be used to working on your own initiative, as part of a team, and have experience of undertaking similar work. You will have had experience of dealing tactfully with service staff and members of the public and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. You should have your own transport, together with insurance for business use and a current driving licence.

The work can be arranged to accommodate flexible working hours but may include some early morning working on occasion.
