Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a recent IT Graduate to join us in Spring/Summer 2024 to become part of an expanding small development team and join us in our digital transformation journey towards realising our Digital Strategy.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take that all important first step in their IT career in order to grow and develop in a supportive team environment. The Council’s core values are Innovation, Transformation and Delivery and we seeking a highly enthusiastic Graduate Developer who not only shares these values but has a genuine desire to make a difference in the job that they do.

You will be involved in a wide variety of development and integration projects aimed at delivering transformative, innovative change across the Council which increasingly involves the use of cloud and AI technologies to improve efficiencies. Working closely with Developers, Senior Analysts and business units, you will provide support to existing in-house and 3rd party applications, evaluate and implement software packages and improve processes and efficiencies through system integration.

Keeping yourself up to date with changes in technologies should be second nature to you. During your time at TMBC, we will invest in training you on new technologies and applications with a tailored training programme to both support your personal growth and development as well enabling you to help embed the Council’s Vision; to be an innovative and forward-thinking council, that leads the people and businesses of the borough towards a vibrant, prosperous and sustainable future.

This role is offered on a three year fixed-term contract.

Our main offices are based in Kings Hill, West Malling but due to the nature of the role it could easily accommodate flexible/hybrid working.
